We have jalapenos and pumpkins growing in our Kinder Garden!
The Poppers made jalapeno corn muffins and the Snappers made pumpkin soup!
Just by looking at these pictures, can you tell the story of how we made our special snack?
-
-
Snappers: We chopped
-
-
onions
-
-
celery
-
-
and carrots.
-
-
We scooped out the inside of the pumpkin and cooked the pumpkin to make it soft .
-
-
We took the seeds out and roasted them. Then we put all the ingredients together and cooked them up into a delicious soup!
-
-
Poppers: “We watered the plants. When they grew, we picked the jalapenos. You twist them to get them off the vine. Then we started to make jalapeno corn muffins.”
-
-
“We chopped the jalapenos. We put them in a bowl. You can’t touch your eyes after you touch jalapenos because the seeds might sting and burn your eyes.”
-
-
We mixed the jalapenos into the Jiffy box mix. We traded three jalapenos for one egg from Ms. Eleni in the Kitchen.
-
-
“We put butter all over the pan so they wouldn’t stick”
-
-
“We scooped the muffins into the pan.”
-
-
We took them out and served them with the pumpkin soup!
