Math:
- We explored the use of symbols to compare quantities.
- We discovered a different way to set up a number sentence.
- We found patterns on number lines.
- New math terms include: ‘minus’, ’plus’, ‘equals’.
Social Studies:
To prepare for Dr. Martin Luther King’s Birthday we discussed peace in action and using peaceful words. Our K-2 Prayer Service highlighted his commitment to Peace. We read “The Sneetches” by Dr Seuss and discussed fair and unfair rules and kind vs unkind words.
